Music Appreciation Group Leader: Raymond Burke
The purpose of the Music Appreciation Group is to provide members with illustrated talks on a monthly basis on a wide range of musical topics including Jazz, Classical Music and Opera, and hopefully, that will attract all tastes and stimulate interest in the subject. Members are especially invited to present programmes of their own choice and U3A is very happy to assist and help them in any way to put together their programme. Previous talks presented have been on the lives and music of Gilbert and Sullivan, Verdi and Wagner, Mozart Symphonies, the Requiems of Verdi and Mozart, as well as Jazz Improvisation and Memphis to Monk: the Blues.
